Comic Book Process

Part 1) The Research


Step 1.)
Choose ONE amendment in the Bill of Rights that you want to know more about.

Step 2.) Print out a political cartoon about your amendment and answer the following questions.
1.) What going on in the political cartoon?
2.) Is the amendment shown as positive or negative?


Step 3.) Below your two questions, create a T-Chart that lists the Pro's and Con's of your amendment.

Step 4.) Then answer the following questions: Based on your T-Chart who benefits from the amendment? Who does not benefit?

Part 2) The Creation of your Comic Book

Step 5.) Choose a Genre for your comic book.

Example Genre's: Sunday Morning Comic Strip, Superhero, Anime



Step 6.) Create a storyboard within your Genre for your project prior to creating/downloading media.

Create a box for each part of the storyboard. If you have 4 scenes, the boxes may look like this. Your story should have at least these 4 parts of the story.
Introduce character. The character introduces the amendment and the historical context.
The character discusses reason why the amendment was needed and how it initially benefited Americans.
Character discusses how the amendment has been challenged since the Bill of Rights.
Character concludes the story by describing how the amendment affects Americans today.
Within each block, be sure to include a script with potential images.



Step 7.) Create your Comic during the lab period. This is your time to download images and design your Comic. By this point all of your research and your story should be complete.



Step 8.) Create a Google.doc form so that you can receive feedback from me and two other students.
